World Issues From a Floridian's Perspective

Wow, that is pretty racist stuff. I am surprised that you posted it.Now of course I understand humour and all of that, but there is a pretty big discrepency between the rich and poor here that needs to be taken into consideration in this situation. You should visit the barrios of Mexico City and see what you think. Just a thought.
Huh? Racist? Are you sure we are talking about the same web page here? So then, are we to conclude you are equating our unwillingness to embrace lawlessness with racism? On the contrary, I believe the cartoon illustrates the point of illegal immigration perfectly, if the shoe were on the other foot. And yes, the problems with Mexico's poverty are appalling. But they are just that: Mexico's problems, not the American taxpayer's. Limited relief has and will continue to come in the way of religious and humanitarian organizations, but if the people of Mexico truly want to change things in their country, it's up to them. But then again, why should they as long as America's borders remain so porous? The path of least resistance will continue to be chosen as long as this is the case, and our already overburdened resources will continue to be stretched to the limit.
Ditto Bryan.Excellent clip! I am not cluttering up the email servers by sending it to like minded friends.
Bryan, you said it perfectly.
Scott, unless you've walked a mile in our mocassins, you have no idea how much we're slogging thru. Racism? No. I'll second what Bryan said, along with the others.Bryan & Everyone else so far, dittos all the way!
